DVC dues for the 2026 use year average $9.61 per point across Walt Disney World resorts; Bay Lake Tower specifically bills at $8.74 per point, so a 160-point annual studio allocation costs about $1,398 per year. Ownership is real deeded real estate (an undivided interest in the resort), but DVC has no external exchange network by default — points are used at any DVC resort directly, or occasionally traded through a separate Interval International 'DVC Concierge Collection' add-on for non-Disney destinations.
Disney retains a right of first refusal on every resale contract, and contracts bought resale (rather than directly from Disney) lose access to some current-owner discounts, though full home-resort booking priority and all points-based reservation rights transfer normally.
